The funnel worked. But I knew it could work better.
How I Found the Problem (Using Heat Maps + Scroll Maps)
Before I changed anything, I used two tools:
Heat maps show where people click the most. Red = lots of clicks. Blue = almost none.
Scroll maps show how far people scroll down your page. It tells you what people actually see.
These tools show the truth. They don't lie.
What the Maps Showed Us
Our opt-in page was converting at 20%.
But the scroll map showed:
- People did reach the form
- Many people started filling it out
- But tons of people quit at the phone number field
That one field was killing conversions.
The Simple Fix That Jumped Us From 20% β 30%
I removed the phone number field.
That's it.
Just one small change.
Our opt-in rate jumped from 20% to 30%.
That is a 50% increase in leads without buying any new traffic.
Now Let's Do the Correct Math (This Is Where It Gets Fun)
π We were already getting 50 $1 buyers per day. These 50 buyers came from a 20% opt-in rate.
So let's work backwards.
Before the fix:
20% opt-in rate β 50 buyers/day β 250 opt-ins/day
(50 buyers Γ· 20% low-ticket conversion = 250 opt-ins)
After the fix:
Opt-in rate jumps to 30%.
Now 30% of all visitors become leads. So traffic stays the same⦠but leads go up.
We were getting 250 leads before.
At a 30% conversion rate:
250 leads Γ· 20% opt-in rate = 1,250 visitors/day
Now with the SAME traffic:
1,250 visitors Γ 30% = 375 leads/day
And with a 20% purchase rate on the $1 product:
375 leads Γ 20% = 75 purchases/day
So we went from:
π 50 buyers/day β 75 buyers/day
That's 25 more buyers per day for free.

3. Webinar Bookings (20% book rate)
